Efficient Performance, Smooth Control, Built for New Zealand Worksites
The DX140LC is a highly capable 14-tonne crawler excavator engineered to deliver strong productivity, low fuel consumption, and excellent operator comfort. Designed around the principle of providing optimum value to the end user, the DX140LC combines a proven Doosan DL06 common-rail engine with an advanced e-EPOS electronic hydraulic management system. Together, they deliver faster work cycles, improved torque, enhanced fuel economy, and smooth, precise operation for civil construction, contracting, and general earthmoving applications across New Zealand.
Power & Performance.
Powered by a 95 HP engine at 1,850 rpm, the DX140LC benefits from high torque output, improved combustion efficiency, and reduced emissions thanks to common-rail injection and four-valve-per-cylinder technology. The hydraulic system features dual 114 L per minute main pumps and electronically optimised flow control, enabling efficient independent or combined movements. Automatic deceleration, multiple working and power modes, and a self-diagnostic system further support fuel-efficient, productive operation throughout the workday.
The Cabin.
Operator comfort is central to the DX140LC design. The enlarged cab provides excellent visibility, reduced noise, improved airflow, and a fully adjustable suspension seat. A colour LCD monitor displays machine information, flow settings, maintenance intervals, and operating modes. Ergonomic joysticks with integrated switches support precision control of attachments and movements, making fine trenching, levelling, and lifting tasks easier and safer. Optional heated air-suspension seats and dozer blade controls further enhance comfort and versatility.
Durability.
Durability and structural strength are delivered through finite element-optimised design, reinforced boom and arm structures, robust X-chassis engineering, and high-quality wear components. Self lubricating sealed track links, strengthened pivot bushings with extended greasing intervals of up to 250 hours, wear-resistant bucket materials, and improved track spring and idler integration contribute to long machine life and reduced running costs.
Maintenance.
Maintenance is streamlined through wide access side panels, grouped grease points, a large capacity air cleaner, efficient hydraulic return filtration, extended oil change intervals of up to 500 hours, and a PC monitoring system for pump pressure, engine speed, and diagnostics. These design elements reduce downtime and support high availability on busy worksites.
With its balanced combination of strong digging forces, smooth hydraulic control, reliable design, and operator-focused comfort, the DX140LC offers exceptional value for New Zealand contractors. Supported by AB Equipment’s nationwide sales, service, and parts network, it is a dependable excavator built for long term performance.
