Introducing TimberMax TRAKX

Introducing the New TimberMAX TRAKX Range: Versatility Meets Innovation

AB Equipment gets a firsthand look at TimberMAX's latest innovation in remote-controlled tracked machinery at its Canadian factory.

TimberMAX has unveiled its new TRAKX range, introducing a versatile new generation of remote-controlled tracked machines designed to support a wide variety of applications across forestry, construction, mining and other demanding industries.

AB Equipment's Product Manager, Chris King, recently travelled to TimberMAX's factory in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, Canada, to attend the official launch alongside an international group of dealers and industry representatives.

The event provided an exclusive opportunity to explore the new TRAKX range, experience its remote-control capabilities firsthand and learn more about the engineering behind TimberMAX's latest development.

A New Level of Versatility with TimberMAX TRAKX

Designed with adaptability at its core, the new TimberMAX TRAKX range has been developed as a versatile tracked platform capable of supporting a wide variety of pin-on attachments.

Rather than being limited to a single application, the TRAKX platform offers the flexibility to be configured for different operational requirements.

Potential attachments and applications include:

- Winching systems: Supporting forestry operations and demanding terrain applications.

- Hydraulic cranes: Providing additional lifting and material-handling capabilities.

- Yarders: Offering potential configurations for cable-assisted forestry operations.

- Blades: Supporting earthmoving and site preparation tasks.

- Excavator booms: Expanding the machine's versatility for excavation and material handling.

- Mining equipment: Allowing configurations suited to specialised mining applications.

This adaptable design makes the TRAKX range an exciting development for operators looking for a multi-purpose tracked machine that can be configured to suit different working environments.

Precision Control at Your Fingertips

A key feature of the TimberMAX TRAKX range is its programmable remote-control system, allowing operators to control machine movements through precise fingertip inputs.

The system has been developed with smooth, responsive operation in mind, giving operators control over the machine without needing to be seated inside it.

During the launch, Chris King had the opportunity to operate the machine himself and experience its capabilities firsthand.

"The remote control is easy to use, with precise fingertip controls. I had the chance to operate the machine on the day and was impressed by just how smooth and responsive it was," says Chris.

Remote-controlled operation also offers practical advantages in demanding working environments, allowing operators to position themselves away from the machine while maintaining precise control.

AB Equipment Attends the International TimberMAX Launch

The official TRAKX launch took place at TimberMAX's manufacturing facility in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, bringing together invited dealers from New Zealand, the United States, British Columbia, the United Kingdom, Norway and Chile.

For AB Equipment's Chris King, the visit was an opportunity to see the latest TimberMAX technology up close while connecting with international industry representatives.

"TimberMAX were fantastic hosts, and it was a great experience meeting dealers from around the world and seeing the new machines firsthand. With four different languages being spoken throughout the event, it was certainly an interesting few days. I even considered 'losing' my passport to stay a little longer!" Chris says.

The visit also reinforced the ongoing relationship between AB Equipment and TimberMAX, providing valuable insight into the manufacturer's latest engineering developments and future direction.
